Pizza needs no introduction I guess. This has become very popular and is enjoyed by people of all age groups through out the world.
Serves – 2
Preparation Time – 5 mins
Standing time – 1 and half hr
Cooking time – 30 mins
Pizza Base :
- Warm Milk – 1/2 Cup
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Rapid Rise Yeast – 1/2 tsp
- Al Purpose Flour – 1 Cup
- Garlic Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Olive Oil – 2tsp + 2 tsp + 1 tsp
- Olive Oil – 3 tsp
- Garlic (Chopped) – 1 tsp
- Green Chillies(chopped) – 1 tsp
- Salt- to taste
- Basil – 1/4 tsp
- Italian Seasoning – 1/2 tsp
- Oregano – 1/4 tsp
- Tomatoes (chopped) – 3 big
- Onion (cubed) – 2 Tbsp
- Bell Peppers (Cubed) – 2 Tbsp
- Pineapple (Cubed) – 2 Tbsp
- Cheese – as required
- Any other topping as needed.
In a bowl add warm milk, yeast, salt, sugar, mix well together until blended and cover to rest in a warm place for 15 mins or until the yeast mixture foams up
Into a mixing bowl add all purpose flour, garlic powder, yeast mixture and knead well to form a soft ball. Add 2 tsp of olive oil and knead well till you get a smooth ball.
Cover and rest in a warm place for 1 hr of until the dough doubles in its volume.
Preheat the oven to 450 F. During this period start preparing the pizza sauce. Heat a wide pan, add oil, heat it up, add garlic, peppers, green chillies, tomatoes, pinch of salt and cover to cook till the tomatoes are soft.(5 mins approx)
Crush Italian Seasoning, basil, oregano, salt, sugar, fennel powder mix well together into the tomato mixture. Cook for a min covered.
Allow the mixture to cool down little bit and blend it into a smooth paste.
After the resting time is completed for the pizza dough, punch down the pizza dough, start rolling it into 10 inch round circle using some dry flour to prevent it from sticking.
Place the rolled pizza base onto the greased 9 inch cake tin, bake for 10 mins or until the golden color shows up on top of the pizza. Remove from the oven and top it off with the ingredients under the topping section or use your own toppings and bake for another 10 mins or until the cheese is completely melted and golden in color.
